²⁶ They put Hamor and his son Shechem to the sword, took Dinah out of the house of Shechem, and left. ²⁷ The other sons of Jacob came upon the bodies and sacked the city because their sister had been dishonored. ²⁸ They took their flocks and their herds, their donkeys and whatever they had in the city and in the countryside.
